Why is it so hard to let go?

·Letting go of past relationships
·Letting go of past mistakes or fears
·Letting go of all that hinders your success

These are just some of the things that seem to scream out at us, “Let me go! It’s not worth it! It’s getting old!” Yet we hang on to these things like we wear a pair of old and worn out shoes. Why?Is it really worth it? No it isn’t! Not when God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has plans for our lives; plans not to harm us, or for evil, but for the good; to give us a hope and a future. But as long as we hang on to the past and all the negatives and allow them to hold us back, we will never fulfill the life of purpose and meaning that God designed for us to live. So, let me ask you: Are there things you need to ‘let go’ of? Maybe you need to extend love or forgiveness to someone who hurt you or maybe you need to ask for forgiveness. Maybe you've been procrastinating doing something you know God has called you to do, but you've allowed fear to stop you. Whatever it may be, why not start letting these fears and excuses go? One at a time.Start today. Think about it: Is it really worth it? God has an amazing journey called LIFE planned for you! It just may be time to ‘let go and let God'!

I do not mean that I am already as God wants me to be. I have not yet reached that goal, but I continue trying to reach it and to make it mine. Christ wants me to do that, which is the reason He made me His…I know that I have not yet reached that goal, but there is one thing I always do. Forgetting the past and straining toward what is ahead,I keep trying to reach the goal and get the prize for which God called me through Christ to the life above.
